I thought today was a sweater day (Daisy)

I was freezing when I woke up, so I put on a sweater. And a coat. But then I opened the front door and it was warm, so I had to abandon the coat.

I really wanted to wear my silver chain with this outfit. But I can’t find it anywhere! The last time I remember seeing it was on September 21st. I had rejected it for my outfit. I think it’s time to scour the floor.

Shirt: TJ Maxx

Sweater: My ownself

Pants: Scary JCPenney Warehouse of Greyness

Not My Best Work (Rose)

So I bought this dress. And I think it has potential, but instead of altering it I was just like “It’ll be fine with a belt!” and threw it on and ran out the door and got rained on and came home and now I can apparently only pose as though stoned:

Dress: Target Clearance Rack (such weird stuff!)

Belt: Came off a dress, won’t stay belted, should probably get rid of

Boots: L.L. Bean

I was wearing tights, and they were quite snazzy, but since I took them off when I got to my first class because it was too darn hot, I’m not showing them. They don’t count. Tomorrow: an outfit that doesn’t make me look like a sleepy peasant woman.

May all who witness me have their day brightened! (Daisy)

Today I woke up and was sad. It was rainy and icky outside. And my roommate was sad about the dishes in the sink which made me more sad. And then, I put on THIS COAT!

How can anyone be sad in a PURPLE COAT?

Underneath the purple coat of happiness I wore this:

And these boots, which were a gift from Rose because… I bought mouse shoes (more on those later). She was so happy with my purchase she gave me a present. I like the way her brain works.

Raincoat: Scary JCPenney Warehouse of Grayness

Shirt: Kohls, gift from mother

Pants: Scary JCPenney Warehouse of Grayness

Boots: Rose

Necklace: Liquidation Warehouse

It’s rainy and chilly and I feel like stomping around the city leading a revolution or something. This outfit is so comfortable and also, I think makes me look like a badass. It shows off my belly, of which I am quite fond.

Tank top: Target

Jeans: Also Target, I think?

Boots: L.L. Bean (At this point, are you really surprised?)

Hat: (not shown) knit my ownself

I also bought some nail polish last night. I like that it’s gunmetal gray and not some sissy girly color. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Now, onward to start my day. I feel like punching a bear but I’ll probably just be extra militant in my feminism. Get it? Militant? I…I give up.

A case of mistaken identity (Daisy)

I decided that today I was going to wear something I hadn’t worn in a very long time. So, I present to you the Repugnant Outfit of Rosy Doom!

The print….it’s so…..sinister, malicious almost. I frightened so many people.

Fittingly, this whole outfit came from the Scary JCPenney Warehouse of Grayness, which Rose has yet to write about. I don’t actually like the skirt so much, asides from the print. It’s just so……floppy.

On a happier subject, I am almost done with my plaid skirt! I am going to make a shirt that goes with it out this blue cotton rib fabric, which I just barely have enough of. Then I will have an Outfit. I have an Event next week that desperately needs an Outfit.

And here is the pattern for the shirt it is going to be. View D, the green one, but with shorter sleeves.

Fall is Here, Day 2 (Rose)

Mmm…fall. Time for tights. And boots. And…ludicrous puffy white skirts with things sewn onto them?

Please excuse the particularly goofy face and the quite-visible bed. I was taking these in a hurry before class.

Lacy tank: Converse for Target

Skirt: Sewed it my ownself, from some rags of cheesecloth-y material. My friend Grace added some random buttons and cloth flowers for effect.

Tights: TJ Maxx (Gift from mother)

Combat Boots: Doc Martens

This song seems very fall to me. And by that I mean autumn, the time of year where it starts to seem like a really good idea to set things on fire and dress in dingy colors and smash guitars.

And the rain heralds fall! Maybe? Please? (Daisy)

It rained! Not on me though, I missed it. It was cool out. I wore long sleeves.

And this necklace, which doesn’t match all that great. I couldn’t find the one I wanted to wear. Then I was gonna wear another one, and changed my mind, then changed my mind again and couldn’t find the original one even though I had just put it down.

Skirt: My ownself

Shirt: PacSun

Necklace: Gift from mother
