Bunnies for good luck (Daisy)

Posted in Outfits with tags , , , on October 8, 2010 by Daisy

I had a conducting test today. For those who have never taken one, the class sings and you conduct them, while being video taped. Rabbit’s feet are lucky right? So I wore my bunny shirt.

Bunnieessssssssss.

And my favorite wide legged jeans.

Bunny shirt: Kohls

Bell bottom Jeans: TJ Maxx

Rainbow belt: Hot Topic

I don’t know if you can tell from this picture, but my tights are labeled with the bones and cuts of meat found on the human leg. I made them with the help of a Sharpie marker and a tolerant friend, who unfortunately got the terms written on her skin through the tights as well.

And my necklace is an anatomical human heart in glass. Yes.

Dress: Banana Republic

Tights: Target, modified by me

Shoes: DSDoubleyou

Necklace: River City Bead Company

It was so cold this morning! I put on a sweater vest.

This photo was taken in a practice room, horribly dreary, I know. As the day went on, the sweater vest came off, and the pants turned into shorts.

Shirt: Pac Sun

Vest: Crocheted by me

Tonight, I played the clarinet (Daisy)

So, I kinda haven’t posted in, oh, 3 days. That is because I have been simply rolling out of bed and blindly putting clothes on. I have also been busy. Busy doing what, you might ask? Well, preparing for a recital! A studio recital, where all the clarinetist at my school (well, half, the rest go tomorrow) play a lovely piece of music. And I am very pleased with how I did. The only bad comment my professor had was that I did not bow warmly enough. I guess that means I did well.

Here is what I wore:

Apple Dress: H&M, but purchases at the awesome boy scout yard sale held every year at the Dulles Expo Center

Necklace: Unique Thrift

Mouse Shoes: DSW (my W key is not broken, unlike Rose’s)

I didn’t finish the blue shirt that I was going to wear with my plaid skirt. But I like the apple dress better.

It took me forever to get dressed today. I kept telling myself I wanted to wear a dress, but I wasn’t buying it. Finally, it hit me: it was just a mechanic’s jumpsuit kind of day.

I went to the gym last night and am now convinced that I have biceps. Do you buy it? Also, I can’t decide if it’s weird or not to wear the top half of the jumpsuit, or if it’s okay to put it on and take it off throughout the day depending on temperature. Does that make me a freak who strips in front of people? And what kind of jacket goes with this? None, that’s what kind. Nevertheless, I love my coveralls.  They make me feel like welding a plane.

Cross Necklace: found on the kitchen table, no one claimed it

Tank top: Converse for Target

Coveralls: Parents’ basement

Combat Boots: Dee Ess Doubleyou

Sexy Hourglass Figure, even in men’s clothes: Gift from Mother

A Day of Disappointments (Daisy)

I really wanted to wear a gray skirt today, so I made one yesterday, from this pattern:

Specifically the green one. Doesn’t it look cute in the picture?

Well, I wore it today.

And it just looks like I have a huge slit up my skirt. It’s a PLEAT, I SWEAR!

And the shoes and pink socks are bad…

And so are the shoes. It was drizzly! I didn’t want to get my cute shoes wet! Anyways, Michelle Obama has those shoes, so it’s okay.

Actually, I got multiple compliments on those socks and shoes. Well, all from the same person, but still.

So, then I went over to Rose’s house. I changed the socks. Purple socks look better. And, my adorable mouse shoes, their debut!

Ah!! What was I thinking?

And then I went on a blind date. I brought Rose along, because I didn’t really want to go. I wore this. The guy was doggedly boring. I took off the socks, thank humanity.

I think I just don’t do well in loose floppy t-shirts. I need them to be more fitted. Everyone was so very nice to me today, today. I hope it wasn’t because I looked silly…

Shirt: JCPenney (not the scary gray one)

Skirt: Sewn by my ownself.

Leggings: TJMaxx

Pink socks: Target

Purple socks: Scary gray JCPenney

Mouse shoes: DSW

Glittery Sneakers: DSW
